a driving force

how do we become successful?
what is the difference between
two people with the same capabilities?
one has a thriving career...
with endless possibilities
the other: struggling to pay the rent

it's the drive,
the motivation,
having the will power to push yourself
farther then you have ever thought to go.

everyday people settle
are you one of those people?
i am sure as HELL not

there have been times in my life
when i have wondered
WHAT THE HELL AM I DOING
we've all been there right?
you chose to keep on truckin
or you've backed away
and headed down another path

HOW DO YOU KNOW THAT YOUR CHOICE IS RIGHT?

fear is good
like self doubt, fear is an indicator
fear tells us what we have to do

believe
do the work
know that fear can never be overcome,
there is no such things as a fearless warrior

resistance is experienced as fear
therefore the more fear we feel
the more certain we can be
that this situation/decision is important
to us and the growth of our soul

if it meant nothing to us there would be no resistance

use self doubt as an indicator of aspiration
it reflects love
love of something we dream of doing
and desire to do

the counterfeit innovator is wildly self confident
the real one is scared to death

a book was recommended to me
these few blurbs (love that word) were read to me

"There's no mystery to turning pro.
It's a decision brought about by an act of will.
We make up our mind to view ourselves as
pros and we do it. Simple as that"

"The professional dedicates himself
to mastering techniques
not because he believes technique is a substitute for inspiration
but because he wants to be in possession
of the full arsenal of skills when inspiration does come"
