CHEW your food

To chew ones food more properly will relieve many problems that tend to occur down the line

"Of the 10 top-selling drugs in there United States, 3 are specifically for indigestion & heartburn."
A fact stated in Dr Mao Shing Ni's book ; The Secrets of Longevity.

Where does digestion begin? In the mouth, yes that's right. Digestion starts with chewing & enzymes in the saliva

if you eat while distracted
if you overeat
if you eat foods you cannot digest
if you combine the wrong foods
if you under eat
if you eat too fast and don't chew enough
                                        .........you can/will have tummy problems.

There is a personal balance that you must explore.  Listen to your body.  How do you feel after eating certain foods? Do you notice an upset stomach when you have rushed? How do you feel in the morning after a huge dinner? Are you better throughout the day when you eat breakfast in the morning?

People ask me how I knew I had a gluten intolerance......by listening.
If your well-being is important to you, you can take the time and SLOW DOWN to find out what works for you.......and your tum tim.

Workout Playlist of the MONTH

As y'all know, I love some music that makes me dance.....and I keep it pretty girly.  Since all I blast in my truck is country, ALPHA VENICE tends to be a bit top 40 when I am teaching.  If you don't mind my dance moves you will enjoy the playlist!

LET IT BE

There has always been a curiosity to the concept that we attract mirror images of ourselves.  I personally have been around some incredibly loving people with great intentions but they let a toxic side of themselves take over due to things that manifest on the inside.  What does that say about me?  How is that my mirror image?

What about the projection aspect?  Have you ever totally recognized flaws or habitual patterns in someone that you couldn't see in yourself.  Are we all lessons?

Caroline Myss was on Super Soul Sundays - Oprah's OWN network.  This woman was introduced to me by Mr Sean Gray for my birthday about 8 years ago with a book called "The Sacred Contracts" I have since then given it as many gifts, and maybe about due to read it again.

Caroline explained yesterday that the spirit, that we, who speak of it often and understand the concept speak of HOPE.  Spirituality is positivity and hope.  Understand that your spirit will find its souls match, to love without judgement, be open to all you two can share and see all you can share in your life.

"The beginning of love is to let those we love to be perfectly themselves and not to twist them to fit our own image. Otherwise we love only the reflection of ourselves we find in them"

You don't have to know the answers, you don't have to fix anything, live and let be and the rest will come to you.

dried fruit vs fresh fruit

DRIED VS FRESH

                        YOU DECIDE!

All fruits have a form of antioxidants and fiber, which keep your immune system strong.
Fresh fruits/Dried fruits if not labeled organic can contain pesticides or even be genetically modified.

Fresh fruits also contains water, which can help hydrate your body.

Fresh fruits have fewer calories per serving because of the water content.

Dried fruit can be made by chemically by adding preservatives
-Sulfur dioxide will reduce certain vitamin content
Dried fruits can also be made by high heating that can cause it to lose nutrients.

Keep your eyes peeled for added preservatives, colors & flavors.

Dried fruit will at times have added sugar which down grads the nutritional value

BASICALLY, if you tend to go for dried fruit you want to look at the label.
First, make sure it is organic, which implies proper soil & no pesticides.
If there are more than 3 things listed in the ingredients it has a high amount of added preservatives.
 And lastly, NO ADDED SUGAR!
Please limit your portion since the natural sugar content as well as calories are higher per serving.

SIDE NOTE: have you ever wondered how many sweet potatoes it takes to make
your portion of fries? if we were to sit 2 full potatoes in front of you I am sure you would opt out.
