relax, treat yourself





it is important to have time for yourself
throughout the week to wind down



work on your breathing: slow things down a bit

shut off the comp/phone/tv/ipod/ipad

take a beach walk.....for those with the option
if not, get outside in the fresh air,
take a few moderate laps around the block
get out all of the stresses from the day........
blow off some steam
REFLECT & LET GO

eat a great meal: healthy, light & fresh

allow yourself 30 mins with your favorite book
feet up, tea cup in hand.....

has some great night time teas

& RELAXED MIND

















i recommend you take that book & your tea into the TUB!

CANDLES: there are also aromatherapy candles to add to the ambiance


before retreating to your bed.....

IT's LIST TIME

I AM NOTORIOUS FOR MAKING LISTS,
i generally lose them, but i make them none the less
if you make a list of all the things
that have potential to keep u up
you can rest easy,
it can all be done tomorrow

once in bedroom, there should be NO SIGNS of work
1. make sure your room is dark
2. no distracting noises
3. clean/comfy sheets


i promise you, you will wake up refreshed & ready to go!
allowing the brain some awake rest time, will have your body will thanking you


we need to train ourselves to value YOU TIME.
i often run on autopilot & it has been catching up to me.
i am forgetting things, feeling exhausted & not wanting to engage in the the social things i used to LOVE.

WORD TO THE WISE
the kids, family, boyfriend & work are all important,
but not as important as your healthy & sanity.
you are nothing to any of them if you if are not in one piece yourself!

LAST NIGHT, I REGRETFULLY MADE,
MY COCONUT ORANGE CRANBERRY DROP SCONES
REGRETFULLY BECAUSE, I WANTED TO EAT ALL OF THEM......
& SO DID MY PARENTS
I USE COCONUT FLOUR, & COCONUT SUGAR, ALONG WITH DEHYDRATED COCONUT

WHEN AT WHOLE FOODS, FORMALLY HARRY'S IN ROSWELL, GA
I CAME ACROSS COCONUT NECTAR
WHICH, THE BRILLIANT MIND OF ASHLEY KOFF
HAD RECOMMENDED TO ME.

THOUGHT I WOULD GIVE IT A WHIRL

i am currently enjoying "MOM ENERGY"
by Ashley Koff & Kathy Kaehler
i highly recommend this book to anyone that loves food :)
AND being on top of their game.
you could quite possibly be confused about how the two can be managed.
we all have our questions about
proper food/activity correct?
on top of being incredibly informative
this book is witty & fast paced

one of the topics the girls bring up,
i want to touch on becasue
everyone is effected by this
& MOST haven't the slightest clue

"OBESOGENS"
or Endocrine Disrupting Chemicals

these tricky little devils
have the power to
make you fat
& keep you fat
sounds great, right?
or maybe
the last thing you want to happen?

"they mimic human hormones
such as estrogen
by misprogramming
stem cells to become fat cells"
the question now is,
how do we prevent this lameness?
