what we attract

if someone says they arent good enough for you, BELIEVE THEM

if you believe you will lose you will lose, if you believe you will win........

now imagine the energy you put into your work.
how many hours are you at your job?
now how many of those hours are you ACTUALLY working?
are you one of those people that go through the motions?
IMAGINE how productive you could/would be if you did what you LOVED everyday.
hours turn into minutes & you cannot get enough, the ideas pour out of you.
IMAGINE what that would do for your life?

take that as step farther & understand that we attract mirror images of ourselves.
it is magnetic for our energy.
learning form what we see in others,
understanding that we ourselves need to work on the same aspects.
if  someone says i am not good enough for you and you stay,
you clearly do not believe that you deserve the best.
why do we hold ourselves back?

you deserve to do what you love............
to get lost in your days, fill up on positive thoughts & excitement!
share the parts of yourself that come naturally with the world,
& be willing to learn about the things that don't.
once you get there,
PAY IT FORWARD
be open to teaching as much as learning.

over lunch about a week ago, i was RE-inspired.
to hear someone talk as candidly about their own business was amazing.
these conversations become positive triggers for me.
to learn & adapt to whatever life throws at me.
to keep getting bigger & better!
i want to be that sponge what absorbs all the information & lessons each person takes form their personal experiences.

IT IS empowering to make a change for yourself.
to be able to step back & say "WOW,i made this happen for myself"
no one & nothing can take that away.

be willing to eat, sleep & breathe your passion.
understand yourself enough to know that this is what you want,
& grab life BY THE BALLS.

know when to say no
know when to ask for help
know when enough is enough

love others
before you judge them

STRONG (influential) WOMEN

I love when I hear that women in the public eye what to use there power to help others.
To spread the knowledge that we are not alone.
You are not alone in feeling or experiencing something dark or embarrassing.
I tremendously admire when those use the spotlight to reach out to girls just like themselves that struggle.
A sturggule of any kind. The human struggle is that of self image, confidence & of course, security in their life's path

Once topics are open for discussion,
it makes it easier for people to ask questions.
Young athletes need positive role models.
Not only role models with squeaky clean images,
both women that have had experiences & triumphed.
Learned though achievement & perseverance.

AMANDA BEARD
"In The Water They Can't See You Cry "

The name speaks for itself...
I am SO looking forward to sitting down with this book!
Just by reading the blurb from the Huffington Post
I already see myself in her.
The competitive dancer in me is right next to her,
feeling those feelings, thinking those thoughts.
Even having those team mate's parents rip me apart.

ATTN GIRLS: young women, athletes, mothers, mothers of athletes PLEASE READ THIS BOOK

vegan yummers from ALEXX

is one of our newer TEAM ALPHA instructors
she has her own site & her own blog
and it is FABULOUS
i decided to share her VEGAN WRAP RECIPE

This wrap is completely vegan, and so yummy!
On the search for interesting vegan foods,
I bought the book "Happy Herbivore," of which I am trying one recipe per day from.
This wrap was delicious as is, but my own additions (I think)
and re-appropriation of it made it even more delicious.

You can substitute the spelt tortilla for whole wheat or corn,
and if you want to go more low-fat,
you can take out the baked tortilla chips.
Also, I find that a sweet/spicy BBQ sauce works the best to give different layers of spice,
and is also thinner than regular BBQ sauce which tends to be a little thicker and more marinady.
Serves 3
Ingredients:
  • Spelt tortillas
  • 1/2 avocado, cubed
  • 1/2 can black beans
  • 1 tomato, seeded and chopped
  • 1/2 cup corn
  • 3 Tbsp sweet/spicy BBQ sauce
  • Baked tortilla chips, to taste
  • Spinach, for base

Place tomato, black beans, corn, and BBQ sauce in a bowl and mix until evenly coated.

Put a base of spinach in a tortilla, and spoon BBQ mixture over.

Top with crumbled tortilla chips and avocado. Roll up and enjoy!

THANKS ALEXX!
