So here we go......
Metabolism slows down with time
Things that worked for you in your 20's wont work in your 30's 40's and 50's
Once you hit your 60's your just screwed (kidding)
You can't just not eat pizza for a week and slim down........
Or survive solely on HoHo's and look fit (yes i've done it)
There are rules, body rules if you will, that one must follow to keep after that metabolism
HERE ARE MY RULES TO LIVE BY -
1. EAT
2. SLEEP
3. exercise
4. stimulate you mind
5. massage your love muscle
WHY?
EAT
1. if you aren't eating within 30mins-1hour of waking you are behind the game
this is your first chance of the day to set the bar
protein, fat and carbs ONE OF EACH - simple
-i am not a believer of mixing proteins
-fruit and grains don't digest well together
-nobody needs more than one healthy fat per meal
ON THE RUN - shake it up OR have my fav PROTEIN PANCAKES on hand in the fridge

SLEEP
2. the body MUST recharge:
all of the daily "damage" AKA stress must be repaired
-you cannot operate at your full potential without recharging your battery
everyone requires a different amount of sleep, find your amount
-start to unravel 30 mins before bed
-no tv, computer or other distractions
-make sure you room is dark & quiet
-write down all your thoughts so you can clear your mind
(i keep a pen & paper next to my bed)
STIM YOUR MIND
3. learn, feed your brain and challenge yourself
having meaning, keeps you young and sharp
-find purpose, live longer
