What makes you happy?

Sitting down before the start of another week I want to fill y'all in with what is making me smile

a hot bath,
the smell of lavender and tea tree oil,
clean laundry,
chuka's yawn,
(i am so glad i took a chance on her, she is such a light in my life)
a new start with my new house,
and the fact that i can take whatever life throws at me................

how about you? what makes you happy?

open to your suggestions/requests
bring your favorite recipe does not need to be healthy...i will do the rest

do something that makes you will be worth it!

i am known for sensible shoes......

sneakers of choice are usually not the type that are recommended to train, run or do much of anything but look superb. to me i live in my kicks so they might as well be hot

to you haters i say, "pain is beauty"

though i am a nike girl at heart, i came across these adidas customs by Jeremy them. BEFORE I PURCHASE ANOTHER PAIR OF SNEAKERS i came to a screeching halt

what we want and what we need are entirely different things. i NEED something i can run in. to get my ass back in gear. i by no means am a runner, i sprint for interval training. those so called haters (cough) are right.

gone are the days of blisters and rolled ankles, the days of untied laces and airmax springing
i have found the solution........LUNARGLIDE. - trendy, cute and dare i say "sensible"

It is critical that you pace yourself! Interval training is very taxing and should be taken seriously. Be cautious of pushing yourself beyond your limit!

Sprinting on a treadmill with very good shock absorption, sprinting in the deep sand, or on grass are all great exercise selections. It is critical to focus on soft surfaces; NEVER sprint on concrete!

If you are unable to sprint, you can perform any cardiovascular exercise and implement the same strategies: spinning, elliptical trainer, stair climber, jumping rope, swimming, etc.

Warm up 5-10 mins

Stretch 5-10 mins

Start with a 50% burst 1 min

Recover for 1 minute

Perform a 60% burst for 1 min

Fully recover 1-2 mins

80% burst 1 min

Recover 1-2 min

100% burst – HR max

Once you have achieved a 100% burst,

continue for 1 min

Recover 1-2 mins,

Repeat until 30 mins is accomplished

Please stop immediately if you feel any type of pain or light headiness!

Alpha Sweets - The ultimate CHEAT DAY TREAT

creating scrumptious cheat day snacks with 1/4 of the guilt!

no butter
no oil
no dairy
less sugar
- less, everything worth eating has SOMETHING in it
all with the option for wheatlessness
we all have had those moments where we decide F-it!
this is gonna hurt my stomach but it is sooooo necessary that i eat this cream puff right now!

you've made every excuse in the book
i'll do more cardio (hardly ever happens)
I have my period (sorry guys)
my boss is a tool (usually the case)
blah blah balh
and finally the ol' i was SO good all week, deal

the result: digging though your purse (or cabinet) for the quick debloat fix

here is my solution.....HAVE IT
But have MINE

indulge in those tasties, without the gasex, enzymes, charcoal tablets and over all discomfort

Day 3 - f = m x a

Day 2 - Things you learn while drinking coffee

Time: 730 AM

Mood: sleepy

As the binding of my text book creeks open, i folder over another page

Nile River.....double blink to lubricate the dry contacts
Mesopotamia.....blah blah blah sip coffee
Hammurabi's Code of Laws......scratch nose, re adjust seated position

The Egyptian Specialist Iri AKA Shephard of the Anus (now i am awake)
AKA Keeper of the Bottom (now there is coffee coming out of my nose)

...he held a place of honor among court physicians.....referred to as the first proctologist, the Keeper of the Royal Rectum


There have been many occasions.....more than i would like to admit that my clients have asked me....
"how often is too often to have a colonic?"
-insert witty comment of choice

Through the years i have heard all types of answers for that question.
My first answer would be,"only when necessary"
some say every six months
other prefer once a month.......i myself, did not find it all that exciting
but then again my intestines were on the verge of rupturing and a nurse was grilling me about my religious preference
not a fair experience......
if anyone has a place they can recommend i will go and report back

lets dig a littler deeper (pardon me) says:

DAY 1 nobody likes a pooch

Welcome to AlphaWHAT?

my life is a non-stop WHAT?
who does that happened to?
when did you meet them?
how are you doing that?
why would you try this?
where do you find the time?

and finally the question i so often ask myself.................

how did i end up here?

i love where i live, what i do, and am blessed to have a handful of very close friends and family that support my every move.
ON TOP OF THAT, there are several hundred of handfuls that contribute great things to my life on a daily basis.....and for that I am thankful.

today and everyday i am determine to learn, grown and experience something that makes each day stand out. i might not do it like YOU, but i do it.

Keep up with me and i am sure to make you laugh, cry, drop your jaw and occasionally,"WHAT?" out loud.
