DO NOT INHALE YOUR FOOD, hiccups can be painful
for decades people (ladies) have been afraid of fat
girls, fat is our friend
now that we have established that,
lets get into actual portion sizes of our healthy fats
what you want to remember is....
NEVER INTAKE MORE THAN A SERVING SIZE
the USDA decides what the stated intake is on the nutritional information
most people take a peak & say,
"OH, there are only 100 calories in this"
they eat they whole thing,
then they look at the fine print that says
SERVING SIZE
and the packaging says
CONTAINS 5 SERVINGS
oops
that's no bueno
perfect example, dedicated to my girl
Chelsea Lewis
a serving size of PEANUT BUTTER
is 2 TBSP
TWO LEVELED TABLESPOONS, who honestly does that?
if you are like myself, and miss chelsea, we eat it like ice cream....
we use a shovel.
NOW, let's take a look at grams of fat per serving
16g per 2 tbsp
not too bad, but please remember
this is PER DOUBLE (dooblai) SHOVEL
how many do you savor?
YOU MIGHT WANNA WRITE THIS DOWN
women, in my professional opinion
should not exceed 12g per meal
minimally we should be getting 8grams per meal
do we remember why we need fat?
to monitor the release of the carbos & protein we eat, so we dont spike our blood sugar
BREAK IT DOWN
if we have over 16g we are holding onto everything in our stomach for more than 3 HOURS
if we have less that 8g we are going to burn our food off too quickly & spike the rest of the day
kinda temperamental, ye'ol digestive system
so let's please our tum tums & only intake between 8-12 grams per meal, MERCI!
FOODS TO LOVE
avocado - 1/2 med is around 12g, depending on your idea of medium :)
butter - 1 tbsp 11grams of fat
non dairy butter (earth balance) - 1 tbsp 11grams of fat
olive oil - 1 tbsp 14grams
almonds - 1 oz 14grams
cashews - 1 oz 12.5 grams
walnuts - 1 oz 18.5 grams
pecans - 1/2 oz about 10 grams
SALMON, though a protein contains g of fat per 5 oz serving 9 grams
which is something to think about, how is it prepared & what foods do you add to it!
let us remind the shovels,
that they are best used in winter
when not wearing a bikini,
THAT BEING SAID
until those chilly,
sweater wearing months,
when warmth is a necessity,
grab a thimble & lets get real!
