how would you define of palatability?
pleasant tasting?


-food's capacity to stimulate the appetite & prompt us to eat more

taste is INVOLVED, but it is the motivation to pursue the taste


CRAVINGS - appetite arousal





think about it....what do you crave?


the smell of baking cookies
the texture of cold stone creamery
sweet potato fries
just ketchup at times!!!!
chocolate/yogurt covered pretzels

usually its the anticipation of the taste
not hunger












all of these things have multiple addictive ingredients
SUGAR
FAT
SALT

you know that a shit load of salt is doused all over them once the are finished swimming in animal fat

though i know that MANY of us stay away from these foods
i am only using them as an extreme example of not knowing what you are eating

personally i have salt on ANYTHING and my head swells up like a blowfish
for most normal people it isnt as noticeable

over time the weight just starts piling on
and all the while your insides are getting clogged by plaque
giving us high blood pressure & cholesterol

THINK AGAIN
i actually feel that you have it worse
because you dont have to stare your problem in the face everyday
you are MORE likely to develop heart disease & be surprised by it!
listen to your body
recognize that you are responding to
the pursuit of a taste
if that is what you really want in the moment
go for it...in moderation, on occasion

work on understanding the difference in yourself
of hunger vs desire
& arousal vs necessity
